Job Title: Law Enforcement Assistant:
Ref: DCS/ZB/19/156/01/2013,
Scale U8, vacancy 2(two),
Reports to: Assistant law enforcement officer.
Main purpose: To enforce law and order in the Town Council.
Duty and Responsibility:
• Enforcing adherence to regulations and bye-laws by the public
• Supporting the tax/Revenue Department by arresting tax defaulters,
• Carrying out operations as authorized by the Town Clerk
• Investigating and prosecuting the criminals
Person’s specification:
• O Level Education plus a Diploma in law with formal training in policing and criminal investigation activities from a recognized Institution
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under mentioned vacancies with Zombo District Local Government and the urban councils.
Applicants should indicate the authority where they want to work and should address /forward their application to the Secretary District Service commission- Zombo to reach him not later than 24th April 2013.
The application forms are obtainable from the Public service commission office, situated on 2nd Floor, Farmers house, Kampala, the Ministry of Local Government headquarters and District Service Commission Offices.

Applicants should attach three sets of photocopies of their certificates and Testimonials and three recent certified passport size photographs
Those already in Government service should route their application through Heads of Department who should be informed of the closing date to avoid unnecessary delays.
Serving officers may submit an advance copy of the application directly to the secretary District Service commission Zombo to enable the Commission carry out the short listing. Those who had earlier on applied, need not to reapply.
