Job Title: Finance Officer
The Stop Malaria Project is a five-year USAID funded initiative awarded in September 2008.
Skills
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principals and laws , rules and regulations related to accounting .
• Candidate must be extremely knowledgeable with financial management .
• Familliarity with the Uganda Lab our Laws
• Excellent command of QuickBooks.
• Superb attention to detail with Strong analytical and result-oriented skills
• Word and Excel at least at an international level
• High quality math skills
• Able to meet deadlines .
• High standards of integrity .
• Fluent in English , both written and spoken .
• Excellent communication skills including written (spelling, style and grammar) and spoken
Qualifications
• A Bachelor degree in Commerce, Accounting , Business Administration or its equivalent in relevant fields or Completed professional qualification qualification in ACCA, CPA,CIMA.
• Computer literate with hands on experience in use of accounting packages , especially QuickBooks.
• 5+ years experience in Finance on a US government funded project required.
• Prior experience with procurement regulations and procedures required
