Job Summary: The job holder will primarily ensure the required QA/QC activities well-performed, proactive role to identify and close non-conformances on worksite.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To coordinate all QA/QC activities associated with company construction projects and maintenance works.
Monitoring of QC Inspection activities. Monitoring of Inspectors attendance and performance. Liaison with Contractor QC at regular meetings.
Technical Review of inspection results and coordination of punch lists.
Regular attendance at yard and contractors or subcontractors Tool Boxmeetings (according to job).
Review Inspection and Test Plan.
To liaise with the discipline Construction and Quality Control Specialists and to provide support and guidance to the Contractor and their Subcontractors to ensure that all fabrication, erection and installation works being undertaken comply with the applicable drawings, Project Specifications and Standards.
To manage the inspection tools in good manners, ensure they are in good condition before used.
Conduct NDT inspection, painting inspection, positive material inspection and visual inspection as requirements.
Utilize inspection tools (UTT, PMI, VI…) to verify the ITP results. Verify materials quality certificates and sampling inspection.
Rise of punch list items and nonconformance reports as necessary.
Follow up of issued nonconformance reports.
To effectively manage a team of multi disciplined, multi-cultural QC Inspectors and to ensure that regular surveillance and inspection of all fabrication, erection and installation works is undertaken and that nominated inspection points as specified on the applicable ITPs are being attended to and results documented.
Review and Implement Quality Management System; ensure updates are conducted as required.
Develop programs and procedures for QA/QC activities among company business areas.
QA/QC procedures development and implementation.
Document management and control.
Receipt, review and filing of Company QC Inspection Reports.
Ensure all Quality Management related records are maintained in good manner and easy to obtained
Organize & Participate contractor QMS audits and workshop QC surveillance; develop quality audit reports; tracking the contractor performance improvement.\
Organize and perform internal QA/QC related trainings to employee and contractors.
Perform any other duties assigned by superior
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant should hold possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Quality Management or Engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years quality management working experience, OilŸ & Gas background preferred.
Familiarity with Quality Management System and using of Quality Control Tools.
Excellent Audit reports & procedures development and document management skills Experience of raw material inspection and Non-Destructive Inspection.
Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Skills.
Familiarity with all international engineering standards, such as API, ASME, ISO, IEC.
Understanding of oil E&P.
Knowledge of QHSE policies for the oil and gas industry in Uganda.
