The Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) has signed an MoU with the U.S Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to strengthen Institute capacity through the management and coordination of laboratory surveillance, epidemiology, public health evaluations and training in Uganda under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Under this cooperation, UVRI intends to recruit the following personnel on a one year .contract to be renewed depending on availability of funds. All positions are based at Entebbe.Main Purpose of the Job
To maintain a clean, safe and attractive working environment and provide routine administrative support services to the laboratory
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean the laboratory regularly and as the condition demands
Clean laboratory apparatus as instructed by the laboratory staff
Organize the laboratory environment in a tidy manner
Deliver documents and other items from and to the lab
Load and offload items onto and from delivery vehicles
Undertake any other duties, that may reasonably be assigned by the Laboratory manager or designee
Requirement:
Minimum Academic Qualifications: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education.
2 years of experience in a laboratory environment Special.
Knowledge: Basic qualities of cleaning chemicals and materials.
