Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

About RECO:
RECO Industries Limited is implementing USAID/UGANDA's Production for Improved Nutrition project. The project operates in 62 districts across Uganda to Reduce the Burden of Under Nutrition by providing Ready to Use Therapeutic and supplementary Foods to vulnerable groups.

About USAID Project:
The primary objective of the project is to establish and operate a reliable, sustainable commodity supply chain management system. The project aims to forecast, procure, store, and distribute Ready to Use Therapeutic Foods as well as Supplementary foods to health facilities needed in the management of malnutrition in persons with HIV/AIDS.

Job Summary: The USAID Supply Chain Officer will assist in the management of the above supply chain function.



Qualifications,
The applicant should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in purchasing and supply management or a post graduate qualification in Procurement and supply and /or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Computer literacy skills

Skills and Experience:
A minimum of five years’ relevant working experience preferably in an NGO setup.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of USAID and its contractual and reporting requirements.
Possess the ability to work independently and also as a team, to accept and discharge substantial responsibilities, to prioritize work assignments, to meet deadlines, and to exercise professional judgment;
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills required
Strong negotiation and analytical skills required
