Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·                     Prepare and review to include but not limited to; flight plans, considering such factors as altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight, cruise control data, airport facilities, navigational aids, and more as assigned by PIC.
·                     Ensure that proper flight kit is aboard and more.
·                     Ensure required airworthiness inspections are complete and previous discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred in accordance with the MEL for that aircraft (as applicable).
·                     Support the PIC to complete the aircraft preflight inspection and perform preflight preparation.
·                     Assures proper loading, distributing, and security of cargo and passengers.
·                     Ensures provisions for passenger comfort and any special emergency equipment such as life vests are aboard (when required).
·                     Operate aircraft at favorable altitudes taking into account turbulence, oxygen requirements and comfort of the passengers during the flight.
·                     Ensures the preparation of the Aircraft Flight Log, Load Manifest and Discrepancy Record form, reporting of mechanical irregularities, discrepancies and proper recording of maintenance by maintenance personnel, when maintenance is performed away from the principle operations base.
·                     Ensure ramp security is maintained while passengers are being boarded or disembarked for passenger safety.
·                     Make sure that copies of any reports submitted to the FAA under the authority of FAR 135.19 are also submitted to the Director of Operations in a timely manner.
·                     Ensure that a crewmember or passenger prior to takeoff to assist any person who may need the assistance of another person during possible emergency evacuation of the aircraft.
·                     The Second in Command shall perform those duties stipulated throughout the General Operations Manual and specific responsibilities designated to the Second in Command by the company and the Pilot in Command.
·                     In the event of an accident or incident whereby the Pilot in Command becomes incapacitated or deceased, the Second in Command shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot in Command and conduct the remainder of the flight to a safe landing. Must be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot in Command.



·                     Assists in the safe and efficient operation of the flight.
·                     Must be proficient in duties such as:
·                     System monitoring
·                     Fuel management
·                     Weight and balance
·                     Aircraft performance
·                     Record keeping
·                     Will advise the Pilot in Command of any abnormality during ground or flight operations.
·                     The Second in Command may delegate duties to other personnel or passengers only when acting under instructions from the Pilot in Command or in the event the Pilot in Command becomes incapacitated.
NB: This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·                     The applicant should hold a High School diploma or GED.
·                     FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman's Certificates
·                     ATP is required for fixed wing pilots. - Carries a current medical certificate in accordance with 14 CFR 61.23.
·                     Has completed the required and applicable curriculums required by the company's FAA Approved Part 135 Training Program.
·                     The applicant must be highly knowledgeable of the Company General Operations Manual, General Maintenance Manual, FAA Regulations, NTSB Procedures, HMR 175, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and all other material pertinent to duties.
·                     At least 750 total fixed wing aircraft time.
·                     Meets the qualification requirements of 14 CFR 135.245.
·                     Is current and qualified per CFR 135.293, 135.297, and 135.299.
·                     Meets recency of experience requirements of 14 CFR 135.247.
·                     Must report or have no accidents, incidents, or FAA sanctions within last five years.
·                     Must be current and qualified as a pilot in the last 12 months.
·                     A minimum of 1,500 total aircraft flight hours is preferred
·                     Possess at least one year of experience as a FAR part 135 pilot of an aircraft.
·                     Past International Flight Ops experience is preferred.
