Job Title: Assistant IT Technician
summary
General Purpose
To assist in the implementation of effective, secure and efficient electronic data
management systems for professionals involved in providing health care at BCH (Bwindi Community Hospital).
To manage and maintain hardware, software, and network systems at Bwindi Community Hospital
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for the upgrade and implementation of EHMIS (Electronic Health Management Information System) at BCH
Provide induction training to new staff on how to use BCH systems and Identify
training needs of users and schedule regular training on IT systems for both
Work with clinical analysts to implement system user access for clinicians
Work with clinicians to look for ways of improving the user interface and applications of health care database systems
Perform data analysis and mapping
Ensure data security and backup
Maintain the computer network at Bwindi Community Hospital
Implement and monitor the IT policies of the organization
Maintain antivirus protection for the organization
Install and manage both hardware and software required by the organization.
Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer science or related field.
Minimum of 1 year relevant professional experience in information systems, Computer networks, computer maintenance and repair.
Experience in maintaining and managing electronic information and record management systems
