About ANPPCAN:
The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) Uganda Chapter is a national child focused organization working to protect and promote the rights of children with particular focus on preventing and redressing violations of children’s rights.

Job Summary: The Senior HR / Administration Officer will implement the HR and Administrative functions in order to meet ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter’s Human Resource and Administrative requirements and policies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Head of Finance and Administration to provide HR and Administrative support by ensuring that the Management Team has accurate and timely information necessary to make relevant staffing decisions.
Manage the recruitment process, placements and orientation of new staff by ensuring that all due recruitment documentation is completed in time and made available to the relevant offices/sections.
Manage and keep the Human Resource Database up to date.
Maintain the Human Resource Policy and ensure that it is in line with the good practices.
Intervene and assist in resolving the significant conflict/disciplinary cases.
Guide and support ANPPCAN’s district offices in HR and Admin related issues.
Compile and file employee information, personnel statistics and needs for budget planning and give feedback to management.
Oversee the implementation of health, safety and security guidelines to create a safe and conducive work environment for staff.
Undertake the procurement process as provided in the procurement guidelines and manage ANPPCAN’s inventory.
Attend to staff welfare needs.
Support and guide the Administrative Officer in executing the administrative roles and controlling measures.
Draft and edit routine correspondence and maintain working files including donor files, staff personnel files etc.

Requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management or equivalent obtained from a recognized institution. Professional HR qualifications an added advantage.
At least 4 years relevant working experience
Good working knowledge on and experience with Microsoft office applications is a must
Sound understanding of HR processes and activities
Well-versed with Employment Act and statutory guidelines
Highly committed & responsible and willing to go extra miles when necessary
Organized and meticulous with initiative and good working attitude
Proactive and able to multi-task, work under pressure with minimal supervision
High level of professionalism & maturity with the ability to deal with confidential matters
Strong follow up skill and able to work within timeline
Good interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
