Job Title: Projects Officer

A major Industrial Group in East Africa is seeking to employ suitable applicants to fill the vacant post above.
Duties
• The incumbent will be a member of the Groups Projects Division, which is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, formulating specific project plans , arranging financing -from both local and international sources –and monitoring project implementation.
• The projects Officer will be a member of the team responsible for market assessment , preparation of project reports in coordination with operating divisions and concerned Government agencies and providing support for project financing and security documentation , project implementation , monitoring and co-ordination , procurement and cost-control , and progress reporting to financial institutions/ Government agencies as well as Group management .
Qualifications
• A graduate qualifications in Engineering or Financial Management , with at least 5 years experience in a projects department in industry or in a financial institution or in a consultancy firm- with hands –on exposure to project studies and implementation .
• Proficient computer skills , articulate communication abilities and analytic expertise are pre-requisites for this position .
• The Group is undertaking new projects in agro-industry and tourism , and experience in project implementation in these sectors would be strongly preferred.
• Preferred age: over 30 years
