Job Summary: The Senior Crew Chief will;
Operate and maintain power and handling equipment in accordance with approved industry standards, quality procedures, safety guidelines and within the scope of the technician’s qualifications and competencies to ensure integrity of the client’s wells.
Supervise offshore crews, ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety and quality procedures.
Delegate responsibility and tasks within the as appropriate to team members competency. Liaise and advise the client as applicable on the integrity of the clients tubing/casing and running procedures.
Accurately complete and maintain logs and job reports.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate power and handling equipment within client’s time specification in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells.
Maintain power and handling equipment at work area within client’s time specification in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to allow equipment to be operational on location.
Liaise with Weatherford onshore support staff to ensure adequate equipment is available at the worksite to meet operational requirements
Liaise and advise the client representative on the integrity or condition of the client’s tubing/casing during operations in compliance with Weatherford Competence Assurance System (Working Relationships) to allow client to decide on utilisation of equipment. Liaise and advise the client representative on running procedures to allow ongoing improvements and efficiencies to be transferred to customer’s operations.
Accurately complete and maintain logs and job reports during operations to evaluate work to allow continual improvement and for business information.




Attend daily Operation meetings on client site.
Contact Operations office on a daily basis or as instructed to receive job and check-in details. Additionally, attend pre and post job briefings as instructed to ensure the communication of issues and information is facilitated. Additionally, to attend industry and company training as instructed and required by Company, industry or clients (i.e. also pre-spud meetings, team-build events etc as requested by client.)
Carry out stabber duties (including pipe alignment and stabbing, signalling Driller and operating handling tools) on stabbing board to avoid damage to pipe during pipe makeup operations within client’s time specification in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells.
Operate power and handling equipment within work originator’s time specification (Internal/External customers) in horizontal applications onshore, in accordance with approved industry standards, safety and quality procedures, legislation and within the scope of the technician’s qualifications and competencies to meet customer’s work requirements.
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The candidate should hold have completed Senior High School certificate 8 years field experience as a Senior Tong/Stabber Operator 5 years Supervisory experience
