Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

The Rural Electrification Agency is continuing to implement large scale Rural Electrification programs intended to cover all the regions of Uganda .
Responsibilities
• Represent the agency in the management of rural electrification construction works
• Monitor progress and quality of construction works
• Attend site meetings
• Monitor all environmental issues during construction and ensure compliance with safeguard requirements .
• Evaluate construction compensation requirements and bring them up for resolution.
• Review payment certificates , consultancy fee notes and invoices and recommend appropriate action .
Specifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University with a bias in heavy current.
• Post graduate training in a related field would be an added advantage .
• Training in Project Management /Monitoring and Evaluation and environmental studies would be an added advantage
• Demonstrable experience in construction works preferably in electricity distribution.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a senior management team.
