About Us:
The Swiss Hunger Fund team adopts a more political tone and sets up an “agriculture and environment” information office. The Swiss Hunger Fund commences work in Myanmar (Burma) or, initially, in the area bordering Thailand.

In 1992, The Max Havelaar foundation is established. Swiss Hunger Fund plays a substantial role. In 1994, Swiss Hunger Fund undertakes to provide “development aid from the inside out and the bottom up”, so those concerned take the initiative and are themselves in control.

 Responsibilities:
Maintains the books of primary entry.
Offer timely and accurate financial data / information
Maintains an orderly and reliable filing system for financial data on soft and hard documents
Makes sure that organizational assets are adequately secured and optimally used.
Performs detailed accounting tasks
Ensures adequate budgetary control at the School.
Provides timely and accurate input during the preparation of the annual budget.



Qualifications,
The applicant should hold a good Bachelor’s degree in commerce/finance/accounting option
Professional Accounting Qualification i.e. CPA Level II

Skills and Experience:
A minimum of two years’ progressive practical experience, 1 of which should be in an NGO setup.
Demonstrated capacity to set up and maintain financial systems and develop internal control procedures.
Computer and systems literacy with hands on experience in computerized accounting applications / software is a must.
Be conversant with Ugandan taxation, labor laws, legal & statutory requirements and ability to prepare income tax returns.
