Job Summary: The UNICEF Communication Specialist will be primarily responsible for the conceptualization, planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation of an advocacy and communication strategy to promote respect for children’s and women’s rights in the public domain and strengthen political will in support of UNICEF's mission in the country. The jobholder will also develop key partnerships with individuals, groups and organizations whose support is essential to the achievement of advocacy and communication objectives and strengthen their capacity; Serve as the main person for adopting and disseminating advocacy materials and managing their production and distribution and participate in global advocacy activities to facilitate global/regional advocacy and mobilisation of resources.

Qualifications,
The UNICEF Communication Specialist must possess an advanced University degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations; or an equivalent professional work experience in the communication area, combined with an advanced university degree in a related discipline.



Skills and Experience:
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media or interactive digital media, of which two years should be in developing countries.
Highly fluent in English is required and strong written and verbal communications skill therein strongly desirable.
