Job Summary:

The Driver will transport staff and any other project cargo in the operational area.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures provision of reliable and secure driving services to the project stall times.
• Maintenance of daily vehicle logs.
• Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil. check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.
• Ensures availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and map of the city/country, first aid kit, car Alarm and necessary spare parts.
• Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents.
• Any other duties as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should possess a Uganda Certificate of Education.
• A Valid Ugandan driving license.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• A minimum of five years driving experience and good knowledge of the regions and the country.
• Be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, a great attitude and good work ethics.
• Language requirements: Knowledge of English and the local language,
• Other Personal Competencies: Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, good problem solving, planning and organizing, and customer care skills.
• Additionally, all prospective employees should demonstrate the ability to work in a team, independently with minimum supervision as well as ability to work with Persons with Disabilities.
