Applications are invited from suitable and eligible Ugandans to fill the following vacant posts currently available in the courts of judicature

Duties and responsibilities:
Presides over the proceedings of the industrial court
Arbitrates on labour disputes referred to the court under the labour disputes (Arbitration and settlement) Act No. 8 of 2006
Adjudicates upon questions of law and fact a rising from references made to the industrial court under any other law
Receives and handles appeals from decisions of labour officers
Qualifications
A Ugandan who is or has been a judge of a court having unlimited jurisdiction in appeals from any such court or has practiced as an advocate for a period not less than ten years before a court having unlimited jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters. Any period during which a person has practiced as a public officer holding an office for which qualification as an Advocate is required shall be taken into account in calculating the period of practice.
Applications should be submitted, in triplicate, to either JSC or PSF 3 and submitted to the
Secretary, judicial service commission, farmers house, P.O Box 7679, Kampala
to be received not later than 19th august 2013
Note applications should bear the title of the post applied for as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an LLB degree from a recognized university/institution plus a post graduate diploma in legal practice from the law development center, Kampala Uganda or its equivalent. Any relevant advanced/post graduate qualification(s) will be of added advantage
Applicants should attach their up to date Curriculum vitae(cv) accompanied by 10 recent passport size photographs of their face and a copy of the latest written declaration form of income, Assets and liabilities to the inspectorate of Government, IGG (where applicable)
