FRONT DESK ASSISTANT - NATIONAL MEDICAL STORES Uganda

Job Title:  FRONT DESK ASSISTANT 
Reports to:  Human Resource Management Officer 
Salary Scale:  Grade 7 
Duty Station:  Entebbe 
Job Purpose:  To carry out reception service and telephone switchboard operation.

National Medical Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was established by an Act of Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and other medical supplies to public health facilities.

Our Mission is “TO EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY SUPPLY ESSENTIAL MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO PUBLIC HEALTH FACILITIES IN UGANDA”
We are now looking for competent persons who possess appropriate skills, knowledge and right attitude to fill vacant position which has arisen as a result of our expanded mandate. KEY RESULT AREAS/ACCOUNTABILITIES 
1 Receive, record bookings and make outgoing calls 
2 Maintain records and verify telephone bills before forwarding for payment processing 
3 Receiving all incoming calls and route them to relevant personnel, attend to routine inquiries and record all messages received in line with NMS customer care guidelines 
4 Maintain the front desk office infrastructure in line with front office desk management practices 
5 Receive customers/visitors to corporation and guide them to relevant offices in line with NMS customer Care guidelines 

QUALIFICATIONS (Person specifications) 

1. A Diploma in Secretarial Studies or in Business Administration 

2. Computer literate 

3. Able to communicate effectively, especially verbally 

4. A minimum of two years post qualification experience 

5. Should have under taken training in Customer Care.
