National Medical Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was established by an Act of Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute medicines and other medical supplies to public health facilities.

We are now looking for competent persons who possess appropriate skills, knowledge and right attitude to fill vacant position which has arisen as a result of our expanded mandate. KEY RESULT AREAS/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plan and budget
for the information management function in line with NMS set procedures

Receive,
register, and dispatch mail in line with the Registry Procedures.

Develop and maintain
a filling system for the NMS Registry and Archive in line with the Registry
Procedures and set guidelines

Access, store
and disseminate NMS records and documents in line with the Registry
Procedures and guidelines.

Conduct subject
classifications and security grading of all records in line with the registry
Procedures and set guidelines.
6
Review NMS
records and documents in the Central Registry, weed inactive files to the
archive and dispose of obsolete records and documents in line with Registry Procedures
and NMS guidelines.
7
Supervise the
use and movement of files in line with the Registry Procedures.
8
Co-ordinate the
emails of the Corporation in line with set guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS (PERSON SPECIFICATIONS)

1
Honors Degree
in Library and Information Science, Bachelor of Records and Information
Management or Bachelor of Records and Archives management from a recognized
institution
2
3 years working
experience in a Registry.

Computer
literate.
